Stand-on and zero-turn machines with 48–60 inch decks, blades sharpened twice a week. We alternate the cut direction each visit so the turf stands up instead of laying over, and so the stripe reads clean from the street.

The premise
A lawn is the only part of a house that has to be made again every week.
Paint holds. Tile holds. Turf does not. It grows nine months of the year in this climate, and it shows the difference between a crew that finished and a crew that hurried within about forty-eight hours.
Sabal & Sage exists for owners who notice that difference. We run small routes so the same two people see your property every visit, we cut on a fixed weekly day, and we hand-detail every edge rather than run a blade down it. It is slower. It is the entire point.

The standard
Three passes, in this order, every time.
Every visit follows the same sequence. It is why a Sabal & Sage property looks the same in August as it does in January.
02 — The edge
Commercial string trimmers along every walk, drive, bed line, mailbox and downspout, cut to the same height as the deck rather than scalped. Where a hard edge belongs — concrete and pavers — we cut it with a dedicated stick edger.
03 — The detail
Hedges and ornamentals shaped by hand, palm skirts pulled, beds weeded, clippings blown off every hard surface and collected rather than pushed into the swale. We leave with the property cleaner than the turf.

Mow, string-trim, hard edge, blow down. Forty-two to forty-six visits a year.

Six-step program for St. Augustine and Zoysia, with chinch and sod webworm control.
03Hedge, palm & ornamental care
Shaping, thinning, palm trimming to nine and three, and bed-level pest work.
04Irrigation management
Monthly zone checks, head repair, controller programming to Lee County watering days.
05Mulch, beds & seasonal colour
Bed renovation, two mulch installs a year, annual rotations at the entry.
06Storm preparation & recovery
Pre-season canopy work, and a documented return schedule for clients under contract.

Property no. 07
Caloosa Reach, Fort Myers
A 0.9-acre riverfront parcel with eighteen mature palms, four hundred feet of bed line and a St. Augustine lawn that had gone thin under the oak canopy.
We took it over in March 2023 from a crew running a forty-eight-property day. First move was to stop scalping: deck up half an inch, cut weekly instead of fortnightly, and re-cut the bed lines by hand. Colour came back inside two months. Thinning the canopy did the rest.
